Catherine Moore

Catherine grew up in the Appalachian foothills of northern Georgia. She holds a B.A. and M.A in Religious Studies from Georgia State University, where she successfully produced and defended her thesis, Affirming Theologies and Transgender Refugees and Asylum Seekers. Catherine also holds a Master of Divinity and M.A. in Practical Theology from Columbia Theological Seminary where she focused on liberation theologies, queer spiritual care, death and dying, and chaplaincy. Catherine is a proud former cohort member of the Trans Seminarian Leadership Cohort. Now, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at GSU centered around justice, leadership, and socio-political change in religion as is a pediatric chaplain in Atlanta, GA.
