Thomas knows we can change the world by (1) working to change systems which are broken-by-design and (2) helping each person in need, one at a time.

Before retirement, Dr. Marlowe cared for patients stigmatized by both society and the medical community itself, focusing on transgender care and obesity medicine care. Over 25 years, Dr. Marlowe helped thousands of trans patients to medically transition, served as a founding member of the Charlotte Transgender Healthcare Group, and assisted national centers in developing their trans medical treatment programs (eg. Callen Lorde Center in NYC). Additionally, Dr. Marlowe opened the first and only non-profit medical weight loss clinic in the USA and helped tens of thousands of patients with obesity to achieve medically significant weight loss, during a time period when the medical community as a whole stigmatized and blamed the patients themselves.
